What is your major? Geology (as well as French)
How did you become interested in this major or field? My 101 lab professor (Elizabeth) stopped me after class and told me I had a natural inclination for geology. However, having such an intelligent disposition makes me naturally inclined to many things.
Where do you see yourself five years from now? Finishing my Master’s degree in deep marine acoustics, having spent the previous four years on board various research vessels, submersibles, airplanes, and space shuttles.
What part of the research on this trip has interested you the most? Although I am a geology major, the fish caught by the beam trawl have been the most lively part so far. The ROV dive is also exciting, from deployment to recovery.
What part of the research has interested you the least? Making 4% formalin at 3:30am
