What is your major? Master of Environmental Studies
How did you become interested in this major or field? I have always been interested in biology and the environment, but only recently decided to make a career out of it after disliking a job in the corporate world. I love exploring the outdoors and learning about different forms of life.
Where do you see yourself five years from now? I hope that I will have a job that has at least some component of field work. I hope my job will allow me to always be learning and discovering new things.
What part of the research on this trip has interested you the most? I liked looking at all the animals that we pulled from the beam trawl and dredge. Also the ROV is really cool because you can look at life as it exists on the ocean floor.
What part of the research has interested you the least? Probably the CTD. Also, it's hard to kill the animals when preserving them as samples.
Did you get sea sick on this trip? No, just a little queesy on the first day.
