Name: Lauren Halloran

What is your major? Marine Biology

How did you become interested in this major or field? For four months in junior year of high school, I participated in a natural science-based program on the coast of Maine that sparked my interest in science.

Where do you see yourself five years from now? I have no idea. Maybe graduate school or maybe doing research on the ocean somewhere ( I hope!)

What part of the research on this trip has interested you the most? It is hard to pick one thing. I liked seeing the variation of different organisms in different locations (especially the echinoderms). I also enjoyed learning about the sonar and actually seeing the different layers of sediment.

What part of the research has interested you the least? All of the research is new to me so I find it all interesting (right now).

Did you get sea sick on this trip? a little bit.
