Name: Dana B. Hughlett
What is your major? Marine Biology and Biology with a minor in chemistry
How did you become interested in this major or field? My father is an avid deep-sea fisherman (as a hobby) and I have been near and on the ocean almost every weekend while growing up. I love the ocean because of the experiences I have had as a kid.
Where do you see yourself five years from now? Either doing research toward a PhD or working for a dive shop in the tropics.
What part of the research on this trip has interested you the most? The variety of echinoderms and their varying distribution across the shelf.
What part of the research has interested you the least? The dirt (geologically termed "sediment")
Did you get sea sick on this trip? Nope.
