Dorsal
(left) and ventral views: Arms are ~3 cm long.
They are nearly circular in cross-section, but flattened on the ventral side.
The
tube feet are characteristically bright orange and have suckers,
and the tips of the arms are often curled upward.
The
eye spots found at the arm tips are bright orange.
A juvenile
seahorse wraps his tail around the seastar on the side
of an aquarium. The seastar's orange tube feet cling to the glass.
