What is your major? Marine Biology – graduate school

How did you become interested in this major or field? I liked dolphins at an early age. I'm mostly interested in the physiological aspect of photosynthetic organisms. I also have an interest in the physiology of deep sea organisms.

Where do you see yourself five years from now? I can’t see that far. I need glasses.

What part of the research on this trip has interested you the most? The firing of the Niskin bottles. One of the most interesting things is seeing the differences in water clarity along the transect and also between seasons. The beam trawl also held many interesting organisms. The interactions among these organisms was also exciting when viewed in the on-board aquarium.

What part of the research has interested you the least? Phytoplankton and SLEEP.
